1Home pricing in France: range prices and what is included

Price transparency is a distributor's first argument. This page explains how a gateway budget is built: what the hardware covers, what is added, and what may be recurring — so the quote holds no surprise.

A gateway price in isolation says very little: two offers at the same amount can cover very different scopes. What matters is the landed total — hardware, ancillary hardware, commissioning, and recurring fees if any.

01Price list

In the meantime the shortest route is the quote request: it gives a firm amount on your real configuration, which a generic grid never does.

02Is there a subscription?

  • All-in at purchase: the price covers hardware and usage, including remote access.
  • Purchase plus optional service: local control is owned, an advanced or remote function is billed separately.
  • Purchase plus mandatory subscription: legitimate, provided it is announced and included in a ten-year calculation.

03What drives the total budget

  1. Commissioning: half a day if the configuration file is clean, double if it must be rebuilt.
  2. Ancillary hardware: an IP interface to the bus, a platform home hub.
  3. Add-ons: a wall panel, a visualisation module — after the server, not before.
  4. Rework: renaming a poorly structured project is time, not hardware.

04Trade terms

Installers, integrators and specifiers fall under distinct terms: volume-based discount, professional invoicing, level-2 technical support. The process is described on the trade area; terms are shared in writing on request.

05Payment, delivery and warranty

The rules applying to orders, delivery, the statutory warranty and the right of withdrawal are detailed in the terms of sale; how after-sales works is on the support page.

One principle governs this whole page: a displayed price commits the seller. We would rather publish a method and a firm quote within two working days than a grid that would not match what is actually charged.

05Reading a smart-home quote without being caught out

Two quotes for the same installation can differ by a factor of two and both be honest — because they do not cover the same perimeter. These are the questions that make them comparable.

  • Is commissioning included, and how many hours are allowed for it?
  • Does the price cover the hardware alone, or also the reading and import of the existing project?
  • Are there recurring fees — remote access, cloud service, licence renewal — and for how long?
  • Is the project file handed over to the client at the end, and in what form?
  • What happens, contractually, if the installation turns out to need a different reference?

A quote that answers all five is not necessarily the cheapest; it is the one you can hold someone to. Our own quotes state what is not included as explicitly as what is, because the omissions are where the disappointment lives.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a price difference with the manufacturer?

The recommended public price is the common reference. What the French channel adds — compatibility checked before ordering, French invoicing and VAT, a reachable contact and after-sales in French — is not billed separately.

Does the price include commissioning?

No. We distribute hardware and advise on the choice; we do not install. The quote states clearly what is not included.

Is the quote free?

Yes, free and without commitment. It includes the compatibility check of your installation, which is the real work.
